Feedback from pitch

This is the feedback I received after my pitch. This made me think about whether my band is Indie or Alternative rock as the song is Indie and I have created an Alternative rock band. I am going to research further into the genre so I understand it better and into more depth. I am going to make a powerpoint with the two sub genres and then decide which suits more- which I think is Indie due to the pace of the song and the appearance of the band. I also need to make sure my narrative is clear to the audience as it is a bit confusing right now as well make sure that it is applied to Goodwin's theory.

Pitch

Photoshoot 1: Most Successful

These are the 20 most successful photographs from the photoshoot I have done with the lead singer of the band. I think they are successful because the lighting is good and appropriate and the framing is good too. However, I am going to do another photoshoot next Sunday. This is because I want some photographs of the whole band which I will use for the digipak and poster. I am going to go in an abandoned factory which I think is very appropriate for the bands appearance.

There is a link (below) with all the photographs from the shoot. However, the ones on the link are the ones I have left out as they are not as successful as the ones above. This was due to traffic, blurry photos, and not so good lighting and ect.

Animatic

This is the animatic I have created for my idea for music video of the song "Use Somebody". I think I could improve it by adding more shots and making sure that the narrative is shown clear and straight forward.

Production Log for Photoshoot

This is my Production Log for my photoshoots with the band members.

On October the 31st I went out with the lead singer from the band and had a photoshoot with just him. Some of the photos turned out to be very successful. However, the location wasn't very appropriate because the back ground was very colourful, you could see all the Autumn leaves which is not appropriate for the band at all. I am still going to use some of them after i have edited them on Photoshop and maybe have them in black and white as the lead singer being outside and "roaming" around suits the song I will be making a music video for. Therefore it is a little bit suitable. On Monday and Tuesday (26th and 27th) I was planning what I am going to do on the day of the photoshoot. I told the lead singer to wear black jeans an a black jean jacket which I think is the look I am going for. I planned all the locations we was going to go to and the shots and angles I will be using while taking the photos.

In the First week of November I have planned a second photoshoot which unfortunately didn't happen as two of the members couldn't turn up even though I gave them 1 week notice. I am planning another photoshoot with different people which i can rely on. That photoshoot is going to happen on the 15th of November. I am going to have 3 band members. We are going to go to several locations. Also I am trying to research and find a location which is inside and it looks quite urban and abandoned. We are going to go there if i find an appropriate location.
